Summary
George thought he was alone. The apocalypse started two years ago, and all of his friends dropped off the face of the earth. He assumed they were dead, until he encounters a rather odd monster that reminds him of someone he once knew.
Tubbo is a survivor. He's used to being alone and not relying on others. He doesn't trust anyone, and doesn't need anyone. His hatred for monsters fuels his need to live.
Quackity and Karl have been to hell and back. They depend on each other for survival, clinging to what little of their past they have left. They mourn the loss of their friend, hoping that somewhere out in the world, he is still alive.
There are talks of a new society being built. A safe haven for what little of humanity is left, founded by a charismatic leader who vows to end the reign of monsters. With the promise of safety, how could one not be drawn to this nation built upon the ideals of human survival?

"Dream turned to look at Tommy. In a small voice, Dream said something that Tommy would never forget. “I want to adopt you. I want to be your older brother if that’s okay. I wouldn’t try and replace your family, but I would be there for you if you wanted.”
Immediately, Tommy started losing his marbles. This was exactly what he wanted, he wanted a new brother. Tubbo was good, great. But he didn’t feel like a brother. Dream felt like a brother, felt like someone who would protect Tommy and never leave Tommy. That weird feeling got stronger, and he jumped into Dream’s arms.
Tommy didn’t answer Dream, he just jumped into his arms for a hug. They were brothers, even only after a couple hours of knowing each other. They both knew that, and they both knew the other felt it. They walked back to Schlatt’s, hand in hand. Laughing and crying alike."
Or, Tommy's family forgets about him after losing their mother. Tommy basically lives with Tubbo, until Dream adopts him. Many miscommunications happen, shenanigans ensue.
Your classic tommy is a hero story, with the Syndicate being bitches as usual. Dream is good in this one though! The angst comes from elsewhere. Watch the tags, this will get dark soon. -
