The breaststroke is one of the most complex swims. To swim well breaststroke we need to have good timing, many beginners tend to do a long and slow arm movement, but the main focus is timing and being aquadynamic, creating as little resistance as possible at each stage.
Moving your arms fast while swimming won't necessarily make you go faster.
