Originally I wanted a barn wood wall & my hubby was going to go to my family farm & get real barn wood. But then I thought about splinters & the time he'd have to take sanding each piece, so he came up with the idea to use knotty pine & stain it. I wanted it to look old & found some grey stain, which looked liked paint. So bless his heart, he stained it twice with two different colors to get the look I wanted.
