A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Download NowName your own price

The purrfect way to kill time, or a distraction from 202X. Drop some kittens on your desktop and watch them frantically run about, or lazily lie down. They’ll prance around your desktop, examine your windows and the things that cats do.

Each kitten has a small bio with more about them. Many of them are real life kittens!

There are 7 kittens to choose from, but for maximum chaos and anarchy, add them all in!

like i dumb how do u do it

sorry I missed that, its been a stressful week here.

I assume there’s a lot going on for everyone, and even so, changes in how things operate have been drastic in the past few years, to the point where context I have is not context everyone has.

I am not on Windows, but I’ll do my best with the instructions.

If you are on Windows, 99% certain the file you want to download is Desktop Kittens (Windows / x86)

After you download it, you will see a file in your Downloads folder named DesktopKittens (Windows Arm_x64_x86).zip

Double Click it, and you should see a button that says extract in your toolbar. Click it, and any option that says anything along the lines of “Extract all” you should chose, if the option is presented.

There should be a checkbox that says “show files after extracting.” Make sure that’s selected to make things easier.

When it’s done, you should see a folder open with many files in it. All the files are part of the program needed to run. Many setups try to hide these files from you so you don’t see them. The file you want is Desktop Kittens.exe

You may get an error, where Windows says something like, “I’ve never seen this before, do you want to open it anyway.” Answer yes, or if that’s not an option, look for something that looks like a link that says “advanced” or similar. After clicking it, you should see a button that says “Run anyway.”

After that, it should open, and you can select the kittens you want to run around your desktop.

woo!!

Wouldnt let me download due to property of undefined?

When you tried to open it, or download it from itch?

If when trying to open it, can you provide your OS, OS version, and a screenshot of the error?

If the latter, can you try downloading from a different browser?
