If you can't be left alone with warm cinnamon rolls or a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies, or if you enjoy creating photos of your culinary creations almost as much as eating them, Christy Denney, the blogger known as "The Girl Who Ate Everything", has the perfect cookbook for you.
Scrumptious from the Girl Who Ate Everything combines Christy's expert professional experience as a recipe writer for both Betty Crocker and General Mills with her life experience as a mother of five and one of ten siblings. Christy knows food often is the centerpiece of family life and can be a major undertaking, requiring creativity, planning, practice, and purpose.
Christy showcases 101 of her favorite recipes, each beautifully photographed using natural light from a window in her home, and includes detailed instructions for prep time along with helpful tips.
From unforgettable Sunday brunches with Banana Muffins, to easy weeknight one-pan dinners like One-Pan Chicken Enchilada Skillet, to low-carb meals like Egg Roll in a Bowl, to rolling out the works for a game-day crowd, including her NFL-husband's favorites like Jalapeno Popper Bread and Garlic Parmesan Wings, this is the family-friendly cookbook for anyone looking to plan quick-and-easy meals and wants a way to bring people together, feasting on food which can only be described as scrumptious.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2021Oh where, oh where, oh where to even begin? This one is a solid 5 stars! I am a long-time fan of The Girl Who Ate Everything and have followed the blog for years. I have also already made many of her recipes and have her other cookbooks too. Biased? A little, but this is a really good, extremely easy to follow, beautifully photographed book. Is it gourmet? Not at all. Is it quick, delicious meals that your entire family will love and ask for again and again? ABSOLUTELY!! I can definitely recommend the One-Pan Creamy Spinach-Artichoke Pasta and Basil Parmesan Salmon. I have been already been making her Eggroll-in-a-Bowl, Honey-Garlic Pork Roast and Spinach Artichoke Dip for awhile and they are in regular rotation at my house. Buy this book!!! You will not be disappointed!
Thank you to #NetGalley, Christy Denney and Shadow Mountain Publishing for this ARC!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2022Uncomplicated and fun, Scrumptious fromThe Girl Who At Everything has the kind of recipes you'd search for online, but now they are easy to find in a beautiful cookbook filled with ways to customize and enhance your food. These are crowd-pleasing, easy to serve and easy to share dishes - families who entertain need this cookbook. There are no long-winded explanations or complicated instructions - it is a user-friendly cookbook with ideas that work. It will be an asset to any cookbook library because it can be used again and again. The recipes are often updates on classics or mash-ups of fan favorites. Seriously, I am in awe of Cuban Sandwich Dip! Where has this been all my life? Buy this for the holidays - it is going to be a fan favorite!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2023This book was chosen for our recipe cookbook book club, two months ago. The pictures are great and the recipes contain ingredients that you have on your kitchen shelf. I think I can honestly speak for the 12 of us in our club that this was one recipe book that we all found something to make for our meeting. Perhaps three or four of us bought the cookbook for our own personal use.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2021Looks like there are a lot family friendly recipes without a lot of obscure ingredients, most of the ingredients I have perused over are very attainable which is important, especially for people who live in smaller towns. The author gives clear directions and lots of pictures. The one pan dinner and sheet pan dinners are worth the price of the book. Still disappointed, they were sold out of paperback and for a TINY digital file it's $5 more. I don't know if it's the authors fault or publisher either way it doesn't seem fair. 21.99 for Kindle, 16.79 for paperback book at the time of this posting.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2022I use this cookbook at least once a week, sometimes two or three times. The meals are so delicious, but super easy and quick. All the meals I have made take around 30 minutes, so it is great for the busy school nights with lots of activities and a mom and dad that both work outside of the home every day.
Highly recommend!!! My kids and husband have all loved the meals I have made. The Raspberry Cream Cheese Puffs are worth buying this cook book by themselves, but my husband absolutely loves the Sheet Pan Philly cheesesteak recipe as well!!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2021I have close to a couple hundred cookbooks and i love a gourmet recipe but this cookbook really fit with what i was looking for. My kids are all most grown and I'm looking for simpler recipes that don't take as much time and can be easily eaten as leftovers. I like that there are some low carb options and also recipes that rely on ingredients that are probably in your house or easily accessible . i have her previous cookbook and have recipes out of it that are repeats and very reliable but i think this one is even better.i cannot wait to try the garlic parmesan wings, carne asada and all the skillet meals.
