Florentino Garcia Martinez is a professor emeritus in the Department of Biblical Studies at the Catholic University of Leuven ( Katholieke Universiteit Leuven). He has served as the head of the Qumran Institute at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.

This may be one of the best English translations of the DSS, but Amazon’s binding is absolutely terrible. Above photos are two different copies, both “new” in that they were printed by Amazon and both with the same poor binding. I suppose there are few 28-year-old copies of this book in new condition, so Amazon will print them in shoddy condition, pass it off as new, and charge you nearly $40 for a copy that costs Amazon only half to print.If there was a way I could avoid such prints at the time of purchase, I wouldn’t mind buying a used copy in good condition at a discount from the listed price of a new copy. Best I can do is leave reviews like this so that other people can be aware of the poor quality of Amazon's printed books.
