- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2018***Update 5/11/18****
After reaching out to Anker they were able to provide me new headphones being that I was in their 18 month warranty period.
The headphones were shipped promptly and work great. I have no complaints. I've upgraded this review to 5 stars due to their excellent customer service.
Sound:
These headphones are really nice sounding. Really loud when device is on highest setting (could be a good or bad thing depending on your preference). Not much ambient sound is let in, so if you need to hear your surroundings these may not be for you. I did not mind this as I use these for working out and do not like to be disturbed.
Fit:
The fit is very secure, I had no worries about the headphones falling out while working out or running. Very comfortable even after wearing for a few hours.
Controls:
The controls are very intuitive and easy to feel for without looking (good for running). One negative for me is that you have to hold the the power button for a 4-5 seconds to power on/off. This actually can be viewed as a positive for some who want to avoid accidentally turning on the device while not in use. The charging port is also located on the control module. The charging port is protected by a plastic cover.
Battery Life:
I've only had the headphones for about a month and have had no complaints about battery life. Enough for 4-5 days of workouts (about an hour each) without going dead. I've never pushed the battery to full 0%.
Carry Case:
The headphones come with a surprisingly nice case given the price point. It also has a carabiner which is a nice touch. There is a small mesh netting to hold small items in there also. The headphones seem secure in the case.
So all of these good things about the headphones, why only two stars?:
After owning these headphones for a few weeks I was a very satisfied customer; until one day they stopped working during my workout. I suspect it was because of my sweat, which makes me question the actual waterproofness of these headphones. I would love to recommend these headphones to you but unfortunately, if you workout and sweat a lot like me these may not be for you.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2019*** I am editing this review a year later based on the response I received from Anker support and the replacement I received. They reached out to me after I posted my initial review and gave me trouble-shooting instructions. I started doing what they suggested but lost track and kept living with the condition of the set that I had, since they worked 'well enough'. Finally, it got to the point where I was only getting about 3 - 4 hours out of a charge and I reached back out to Anker Support. I feared that since 11 months had passed since the purchase I would be out of luck. This was not the case. The support folks were just as attentive. I ran a couple of easy tests, and they sent me the new updated version. These new ones are nothing short of incredible (and not just at this price point) -- they have the sound quality I was experiencing with my initial pair and boast an insane (insanely good, that is) battery life -- I can get 14 hours from a single charge easily, and it audibly tell you the battery charge level when you turn them on. I cannot recommend these enough (and I am, in no way, being compensated to say so). It is my unscientific opinion that these rival wireless earbuds in the $99 - 150 range. I gave out 4 pairs of these as stocking-stuffers. Nice job on the product updates Anker!
This is my second go-round with the Curve. I had the first pair for 13 month before it succumbed to the wrath of a slamming car door. Prior to that I was using the Anker Sport earbuds, which were fine for the price, however the Curve blows them away in fit, features, and -- I don't know -- funkiness? (Something that starts with an 'f' because I love me some alliteration.)
Anyway, as soon as I destroyed my first pair of Curves I walked straight into the house and ordered up another pair.
Sadly, the second pair was not the same.
They look the same. They have the same model number and SKU -- every indication is that they are the exact same product that I fell in (tech) love with, lo those 13 short months before.
Right out of the gate I noticed that the new pair didn't have the same dazzling sound as my original pair; and yes, I would describe the first pairs' sound quality as 'dazzling' for a $30 headset. In fact I prefer the sound of these (right out of the box) to that of my Aiwa Arc-1s (although, after playing with the sound settings on my device, the Arcs perked up and have some serious bottom -- plus, the Aiwas are essential to completing my outfit when I am rocking the scratchocaster). The sound just wasn't as crisp as it was on the first pair. A bit more muffled. A bit more 'hey, go grab a q-tip and have a go at that earwax' (which I did, and let me just say 'yuck' and leave it at that), but the sound did not improve. I even let the drivers 'burn in' for a few weeks. The sound is very good, but not as good as the previous pair. The other issue I'm having with this new pair is the battery life. My previous two pairs of Anker buds lasted for-freakin-ever between charges (*note: 'for-freakin-ever' is less than or equal to 5 days of moderate-to-enthusiastic usage). This new pair I'm charging every two days.
I still give the Curves high marks for their stay-putted-ness. Once you figure out the right combination of silicone fitting thingys, they stay in place like it is their J-O-B.
Bottom line: a good sounding set of earbuds for $30-ish. Maybe this second pair is just an anomaly -- because my initial pair would've gotten and A1 Awesome Numero Uno rating, but you can't live the past.

5.0 out of 5 stars This 'beats' the competition:it is way better and cheaper
I bought this pair of Anker earbuds after two terrible experiences with similarly looking Beats. In the first pair of Beats I got, the rubber 'hook' that hangs behind the ear came off during normal use and the volume controls stopped working. I sent it back to Beats as it was in the warranty, but they said they couldn't fix the volume control because the rubber hook had broken off, thus voiding the warranty. Notice that the 'hook' is very, very fragile, with a tiny metal wire inside (for 'flexibility' and 'support' I assume) and one drop of glue that keeps it connected to the main ear piece. The second pair of Beats I bought because it was heavily discounted on a promotion. Second mistake (fool me twice, Apple!). The microphone stopped working just a few days after the warranty expired.
But to the point: these Anker were a risk at first, not knowing what to expect from a company i didn't know. But it turned out to be a great pair of earphones. Contrary to the beats, they don't slide off your ears when you are jogging or exercising. The rubber hook is much more flexible and comfortable to wear. With the Beats, after a while, it would hurt around the ears. The Anker is so comfortable you forget you are wearing them. The sound is way better, with a better range it seems (haven't tested using the proper instruments). And the battery lasts many days, and I wear them many hours a day. It is sometimes incredible how a product from a relatively unknown company can be much better than one from a giant whose focus is supposedly on design, technology, and ergonomics, such as Apple. But it just happens that Anker 'beat' the competition, hands down. I use it with an iPhone and the Beats will be better at connecting via bluetooth. The Anker sometimes does not automatically connects upon pressing the control, requiring me to open bluetooth control in my phone. Also, the phone sometimes disconnects when i receive a FaceTime call, requiring me to pair it again. These are bugs that could perhaps be solved via software (an App by Anker, perhaps?). But maybe that's what makes it a 'cheaper' version of the Beats. Other than these 'bugs', I am very happy with the Anker and recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOS RECOMIENDO 100%

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Battery life, Value for money.
I used AirPods for the last 16 months but they kept loosing charge very often. The Anker headsets are of Good build quality and value for money. The batter life for me is easily 1.5 to 2 days mostly for calls and 3-4 hours of music. The sound quality is decent but don’t expect great bass. The mic does a decent job and being heard on calls is not a problem. However compared to the notice cancellation of AirPods the background noise during calls is heard clearly by the caller on the other end. Overall, I am satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars basse et confort

Interessant mal was anderes.
