Use at a Desk – or Go Portable

The PT-D210 is lightweight and portable. Simply insert six AAA batteries (sold separately) and use your label maker anywhere you go. Or, if you keep your label maker on your desk, purchase the optional AC power adapter (AD-24) and keep it plugged in and ready for use at a moment’s notice.     Perfect for organizing a load of mason jars in my kitchen cabinets, or anything else you want to remember what it is, or who it belongs to. I like how it has a little cutter built in - my old brother label maker didn't have that. It has settings so you don't use lots of ribbon on either side of the text. It's very cute and portable. I've given it as a gift to others and it's been very well received by them too :)

      I love this label maker. I use it in my classroom consistently. It is super easy to use and pretty quick. The print quality is good. The only issue I have with it is the waste of space between labels. It uses a lot of tape with a ton of wasted space causing the need to purchase replace tape more often. I get it. Money but it’s frustrating when I can see the wasted space for no reason other than forcing me to buy more cartridges. That would be the only reason I wouldn’t recommend. I love the quality and features.

      I thought about buying a label-maker for a long time but didn't want to spend the money. Then I had a project that really needed printed labels. Fortunately, the Brother P-Touch PT-D210 was available at a good price, cheaper than the handheld PT-H110 and with more options. The PT-D210 takes six AAA batteries (not included) and is relatively portable at 6.25 x 6 x 2.5 inches at the widest point. If you want an AC adaptor, you have to buy the AD24 or AD24ESAW power adaptor separately. My only complaint about this product is that the AC adaptor should have been included. There is also a CC-D210 black plastic storage case available for the label maker and supplies.

      The label-maker comes with a sample cartridge of 1/2-inch white tape with black font. It accepts TZe tapes in 3.5mm, 6mm (1/4"), 9mm (3/8"), and 12mm (1/2") widths. If you want to use wider tape, you will need model PT-D400AD (up to 3/4") or PT-D600 (up to 1"). I'm using 9mm clear tape, which is the appropriate width for nail swatch sticks. The P-Touch label makers are thermal printers, so the label is dry and smudge-proof when it comes out of the machine.

      The PT-D210 offers 14 fonts (Helsinki, Brussels, US, Florida, Belgium, San Diego, Los Angeles, Calgary, Atlanta, Adams, Brunei, Istanbul, Sofia, Germany), 97 frame styles, and over 600 symbols, which include themed pictographs, accented characters, punctuation, and mathematical symbols. It can store up to 30 labels in its memory. The printer has an impressive breadth of functions and I found it fun to use once I got the hang of it. The challenge is that Brother has packed so many options into a relatively simple keyboard that you have to push a lot of buttons to change one thing.

      There is a one-inch leader on each label if you print only one. If you are printing a succession of labels, you can shrink the margins and "chain print" to print labels with no leaders. Remember to select "chain print" before each label, though, or the chain will be broken. I tend to forget this after a few labels. But chain-printing is a good way to conserve tape. There are three font sizes: small, medium, and large. These apparently print as different sizes on different width tapes. I can tell you that large font is 6mm tall and medium font is 3mm tall on 9mm tape.

      This machine works great and exactly as advertised. I especially like the fact that the printed tape has a split in the protective paper which makes it much easier to remove from the printed tape.
      It is easy to use and to change setting since all the main settings are on the greenish/yellow buttons above the keyboard. I have it set to a bolder font and aligned to the right. The label then prints with about an inch of excess on the leading edge of the tape. What is nice is that it prints a dashed line which makes it easy for me to trim the label so that it's the same on both sides. I personally don't like to much excess tape on each side of the label so this works great for me.
      The printer also allows more than one line of text on the label. By pressing the "enter" button, the screen drops to an additional line where you can type the text. Upon printing, it will reduce the font size. I recently labeled my front door light switches since they are easily confused. I chose a small bold font and trimmed the excess since I wanted small but easily read text. This worked great for the purpose. Had I chosen adding a second line to avoid the tape scrap, the font would have been slightly to small and not as bold. I chose to scrap the excess tape to achieve the look that I wanted. I even labeled the switched outlet in our living room. Nice! Looks great!
      When I bought the printer, I also ordered aftermarket tape: "Label KINGDOM Compatible Brother P-touch Label Tape TZ TZe, Standard Laminated Tapes, 1/2 Inch x 26.2 Feet, 6 Pack (Combo Set TZ131 TZ231 TZ431 TZ531".
      The tape is less expensive than the original and although slightly inferior in quality to the original Brother tape, it fits my need and also includes the split on the paper side of the tape which is great.

      I've already gone through an entire roll of tape and the batteries are still going strong. Not sure how long they will last but so far so good!

      Overall, this printer works great and is a nice value!

      Es normal que al principio no tengas idea de como usarla pero despues de explorar en ella unos minutos, aprendes rápidito.

      Tiene para ajuste de idioma por lo que no te preocupes de no entenderle a lo que sale en pantalla.

      Tiene incluída una cinta de casette, es de color blanco para escribir en negro. Puedes comprar por separado (aquí mismo en Amazon) cintas de distintos colores y marcas, solo revisa bien, que sea compatible con tu maquina.

      Necesita 6 baterias AAA para funcionar, las cuales NO VIENEN INCLUÍDAS. También tienes la opcion de comprarle cargador (aquí mismo en Amazon encuentras) es por lejos mucho más económico adquirir el cargador que estár comprando pilas (las absorve muy rápido).

      Como puedeb observar, el artículo llegó totalmente nuevo y en peefectas condiciones. Les dejo varias fotografías para que imaginen su tamaño, es del tamañano de una palma de la mano extendida y si es gruesa (de 3 a 8cm) aprox.

      De manera general cumple con su función, el precio es justo y a mí en lo personal, me facilitó la vida :)

      No te arrepentirás de comprarla.

      Using this product is super easy for someone who's never used a LabelMaker before, there is lots of font sizes arrangements offered within the single machine. This might just be me trying to figure out how to use it to its fullest but the only complaint I have is that I find it wastes a lot of tape even when you move the text over to the very end it still produces a lot of wasted tape on the one side.
