I love these shoes. My old ones faded, found them on sale and ordered another pair. They were labeled PRIME. Ordered 7/19/24. On 7/25, I was notified they had been shipped. Hardly Prime! I called Amazon on the 26th and said this had been happening too often, what's the deal with vendors using the Prime label? The associate admitted that vendors in China are using the label, shipping to Amazon from China, and then Amazon ships it. Still took 3 more days to arrive! Pictures above show condition. This is NOT how Taos ships shoes. These are returns that had been sloppily repackaged. Amazon doesn't care. Beware, and don't use this vendor!! Only buy from Taos, check who the item you are buying is being shipped from. These were sold by: The Premium King.

    The one down side is even though they are made of canvas they are not as breathable as you might like . If you have sweaty feet you might not be satisfied .

    I was told by my chiropractor to get shoes that would provide good arch support and cushion. I must have tried 7-8 different brands and several styles in each brand. Finally I decided to give Taos a try. I had heard good things from people with arthritis and planter fasciitis. I ordered a size 9. I generally wear that size. They fit perfectly. I have quite a high arch and these provide the support I need and yet have cushion. I've only worn them once so time will tell, but so far they are the most comfortable shoes I've had on as a slip on. They do not as much support as a good running shoe, but they look much nicer. My only complaint would be they are a little heavy for a slip on and were a little stiff at first. I think they will break in nicely.

    I usually wear Taos Dandy slip on canvas shoes, which I love for the arch support. They are a little narrow for me and they squish my little toe so I’m always wishing they made the same shoe in a wider size. They are so great otherwise. I tried these because I read a review that said they were wider. They seem exactly the same but with a thicker rubber sole. So they are still great but not wider and since I already have multiple pairs of the dandy I don’t need another.

    Bought these for the second time and was disappointed when I tried it on because unlike the first pair, it was looser and stretchier on top but also seemed like it could fall right off if I didn’t concentrate on walking a certain way to keep them on my feet. The first pair was too tight on top to where it left a mark but I thought, with use it would stretch out. I ended up with a color I didn’t really want but that was all they had in my size. I ended up spray painting them black but that just made them even stiffer and tighter than they were to begin with. I’m also not a fan of how plain these are. I would like a design of some sort on these which is what my plan was after spray painting them but I just got bummed because they got so stiff after I painted them that I thought I wouldn’t even want to wear them. After reading reviews more recently, it seemed they might be looser but other reviewers are right, they’re too loose to the point of slipping off the heel when you walk. I decided to just return and will maybe have to pick back up my project of making the old ones work. I did, however try on a pair of vans Slip-On’s and they did everything right except the dang insole is non removable to the point where it would ruin the shoe if you tried to get it out. I like the designs they have though and I also like the line they put around the insole so it’s not so plain and boring. I just already know that vans are not anywhere near as comfortable and supportive as Taos, which is why I went through all the troubles I have trying to make a pair of these work.
