Mohammad Nabi is an Afghan cricketer known for his all-round abilities, and representing Afghanistan in various formats of the game from 2007 to 2022.
His journey with the Afghanistan national cricket team, however, was nothing short of historic.
In April 2009, he played a pivotal role in Afghanistan’s first-ever One Day International (ODI), marking the nation’s entry into the international cricket arena.

Nearly a decade later, in June 2018, he was part of the team that etched another milestone – Afghanistan’s first Test match.

His impact extended to the T20 format, where he played a crucial role in Afghanistan’s inaugural T20 International (T20I) team, earning recognition as the fifth cap of the national team in T20 Internationals in February 2010.
Nabi’s leadership skills shone when he captained Afghanistan during their appearances in the 2014 Asia Cup and the 2015 Cricket World Cup, showcasing his ability to inspire his team on the grandest stages.
Nabi became the first Afghan player to be selected in the Indian Premier League (IPL) player auction. His retired from Test cricket in 2019.
In 2020, Nabi was inducted as a member of the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
