A quick and easy DIY for those that want string lights but don’t have anywhere to hang them. Our backyard doesn’t have a fence or trees around to hang our lights so we needed to come up with an alternative solution. For 3 poles, it took us about 1 hour total to lay down concrete, position pole and let it dry. You’ll have to wait between 16-20 hours for concrete to set and work on the next steps. Then, just spray paint it black, add drainage holes so water doesn’t accumulate when it rains, and add decorative rocks to cover the concrete. Here is a list of items you’ll need for one pole: - Large planter • - 1 bag of high strength concrete mix
