Moons in our solar system: I recall when I was a kid, there were 32 moons in our solar system. The answer now (2013): 146 officially, with another 25 awaiting official recognition from the IAU. A list of all of them runs down the right side of the page while the bulk of the page looks at eight of the most notable moons in the solar system.
