락메(Lakme)는 인도의 화장품 브랜드로 힌두스탄 유니레버(Hindustan Unilever)가 소유하고 있습니다. 그것은 아름다움으로 유명한 여신 락슈미에 대한 프랑스어 단어인 프랑스 오페라 락메에서 이름을 따왔습니다. 1952년 타타정유소의 100% 자회사로 시작됐는데, 유명한 것은 자와할랄 네루 총리가 인도 여성들이 미용 제품에 귀중한 외환을 쓰고 있다고 우려해 JRD 타타사를 설득해 인도에서 제조하게 된 것입니다.[1] Simone Tata는 이사로 입사하여 회장이 되었습니다.[2] 1998년 타타스는 락메의 지분을 힌두스탄 유니레버에 ₹200크로레(4,846만 달러)에 매각했습니다.

락메는 브랜드 홍보대사로 샤르다 카푸어, 카졸 데브그니, 카리나 카푸어, 아나냐 판데이를 두고 있습니다.[9][10][11] 2012년 브랜드 신뢰 보고서(The Brand Trust Report 2012)에서 락메는 인도에서 가장 신뢰받는 브랜드 중 104위에 올랐고, 이듬해에는 71위에 올랐습니다. 2014년 브랜드 신뢰 보고서(Brand Trust Report 2014)에 따르면 락메는 인도에서 가장 신뢰받는 브랜드 중 36위를 차지했습니다.[12]
