관측군
Army of observation관찰군이란 가능한 적대행위에 대비하여 주어진 지역이나[1] 적군을 감시하는 것을 목적으로 하는 군단이다.
보다 주목할 만한 관찰군으로는 다음과 같은 것들이 있다.
- 제3차 예비군, 관찰군, 1811년 프랑스의 러시아 침공에 앞서 오스트리아 국경 감시 임무를 맡은 러시아군.
- 미국 루이지애나주 포트제섭의 관측군으로서, 텍사스가 스페인에서 멕시코로 넘어가는 것을 감시하고, 결국 독립을 쟁취하는 것을 감시했다.
- 1757년 하노버 침공 이전에 국경을 감시했던 하노버 관찰군
