About Ganga Barrage
Ganga Barrage is a dam built on the river Ganga in the Azad Nagar-Nawabganj area of Kanpur. This dam was constructed by PWD (Public Works Department) in 1995 which was inaugurated in the year 2000. This 621 meter long bridge is a part of continuous development. This dam is also known as Luv Kush Barrage which signifies the connection between Kanpur and the era of Ramayana. A perfect destination for locals and tourists alike.
The water flowing continuously under the pool looks very beautiful which must be seen. During monsoon people gather here to enjoy the natural beauty of this place. There are many tea stalls and shops here from where you can eat and drink.
