We came in on a Friday night and were seated right away, despite it being busy. My friend mentioned that this place makes their tofu in-house, which is a nice touch. One of the highlights here is the banchan, with a variety of sides to try.
My favorite banchan was the eggplant - it had a great meaty texture and savory seasoning. I've never been a fan of eggplant, but this was a complete game-changer in the way I look at eggplant now. They also had some unique banchan that I don't usually see at Korean restaurants, like seasoned acorn jelly, kelp salad, and soy-braised peanuts. I really enjoyed trying these for the first time--they were flavorful and well-seasoned. As for the classics like kimchi, spicy cucumber, spinach, and fish cake, I thought they were just okay compared to other places.
All the soondubu soups are priced the same, and they offer a variety of protein options. I went with the beef soondubu, which had small chunks of beef that were perfectly salted and paired nicely with the simple broth and sides. They also serve rice, a fried fish, and eggs on the side, making it a filling and satisfying meal for the price. You definitely won't leave hungry!
The only downside was that while they heavily promote the unlimited sides, I noticed that after our second round of ordering banchan, they started giving us way smaller portions, even though we had finished everything before ordering more. Overall, the food was satisfying and a great value for the price, and despite the smaller portions of sides after 2 rounds, it's still worth visiting for the variety and quality of the main dishes.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 17, 2024
Come for the banchan, stay for the banchan! The array is just stunning and the flavors are just as good. We can't handle serious Korean spicy, so we were delighted to find that even the hottest choices on the table were only medium. I love a nice crunchy cucumber kimchi with reasonable red pepper, and this was one I could actually eat. The sweet/spicy peanuts and the fish cakes were other highlights.
Honestly, the food we ordered was almost beside the point. Give me a bowl of rice and a banchan buffet like that, and I'm good to go. But the oyster soondobu and kalbi were tasty, too, with plenty of oysters in the stew. I have not had such a crispy seafood pancake before, but turns out I'm a fan of well-done pancake.
The room is utilitarian and so is the service. Nothing fancy, just a fun meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 25, 2024
A great lunch spot.We shared a combo of seafood tofu stew+pork bulgogi
Stew was light, tasty and not spicy(med)--- warmed our hearts!
Pork bulgogi has the balance of sweet, spicy and salty--enjoyed it!
Combo is $29.
Of course all the little ban-chans( marinated morsels) filled us up quite a bit and they were all tasty.
Restaurant is clean, the wait staff professional and price to value unbeatable!
Tofu stew was half eaten before remembering to take a pic!
Definitely will come again for dinner.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2531581199Sep 27, 2024
Located on Spring Mountain Road in Las Vegas. Place is nice and clean. Staff friendly.
I usually order combination seafood tofu soup and galbi, but last night had the oyster tofu soup and yangnyeom-gejang (marinated raw crab). They were both delicious. Ordered the soup medium-spiced but I wished I had it a little bit more spicy. Soup had tons of tofu and oysters, plus the raw egg placed in the soup gave it a better taste. The crabs were delicious and seasoned well. The meal came with unlimited 15 side dishes, all of them delicious. Also came with fried fish, just be careful, fish bones...
Been coming here regularly and always liked the food. The menu is extensive, and the prices were reasonable in my opinion.
All the food I had totaled less than $33.00.
I saw some things on the menu that I will definitely try.
So I recommend you visit them if you're in town.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nikki Y.San Marcos, CA58247108Jan 4, 2025
I have always loved Mr.Tofu, and the food here is still good! The side dishes that come with the meal are one of my favorite parts, and the best part is that they're unlimited! It's such a great deal. My go-to is the combination soup, which comes with both beef and seafood..super flavorful and comforting. However, the beef in the soup was a bit tough to chew this time, so next time I'll probably opt for the seafood-only soup. Get it with some spice in there y'all, soooo good! The marinated beef was delicious. While the quality of the meat seems to have gone down a bit, it's still a solid choice for a tasty and satisfying meal. Definitely recommend this place if you're a fan of Korean soups and side dishes!

This restaurant discriminates and treats customer unequally! I dined at early 4pm with my wife and 7yr kid, it was early for dinner and my wife is on diet so she didn't want to eat too much so we ordered a beef and tofu soup combo, it is still a decent 2 persons $30+ meal. However, the waiter assumed we order only one order and refused to refill our small dishes.(as all Korean tofu soup restaurant do.). The manager refused to admit that they are stingy and discrimination!
I 100% don't recommend this restaurant because they treat people differently and they just put their opinions on top of their customers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Oct 1, 2024
I really love the soon tofu here. They offer a diverse selection of banchan, about 15 in total, and all of them were delicious. I went with my family yesterday around 5 PM, and there was no wait time, which I loved.
We ordered the gopchang, seafood, and oyster soon tofu, which came with La galbi and bulgogi as part of a combo menu. I tried them, and everything was really delicious. It's the best soon tofu I've ever had, and the portion sizes were perfect.
The service was great. They kept checking to see if we needed more banchan, and they were attentive and friendly. The ambiance was nice as well. I would definitely try more dishes hereHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 25, 2024
6 adults and 2 kids, Saturday 1:30 PM, seated right away in a corner booth. Came to try the marinated raw crab but they didn't have it. But everything we ordered tasted pretty good.
Our faves: LA galbi ribs and the tofu soup. So many side dishes (potatoes, radishes, cucumbers and crispy mini shrimps were our faves)
Service was good, they did refill our water and whichever side dishes we asked for.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 27, 2024Updated review
The ratings really don't reflect the food. It's GOOD! The banchan is always fresh and delicious. Anytime I have friends or family in town we come here. Service, I get it's not the friendliest but they are busting out tables left and right. They're not rude or mean to people they're busy providing service. They are the Emo or ajumma you're kind of scared of but she's a good cook. Food is made with quality not love lol
Ambiance is good as always.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 31, 2022Previous reviewDo you like banchan? Do you like good Korean food? This place is your place! Why have I waited so long to go here?!? It's delicious! Service is great. What I've found in some Korean restaurants with jigaes they'll add sugar to help soften the spice for some. Here I feel like they don't do that and it's true Korean flavors and spice. I love it. I was super excited to see dried shrimp banchan soooo good and hard to find. Everything is always so delicious and fresh. It's a goto when my mother comes to Vegas
