Videoke singing ranks high in my list of past-times. My family and friends also love to sing, which is why we're frequent visitors to Centerstage, particularly this branch. My friends have celebrated many a birthdays here, with a group of five, fifteen, twenty, and even a hundred! Indeed, that they have many different-sized rooms to cater to your needs is one of Centerstage's biggest draws.

Another is its affordable packages. For around Php 2,500 to Php 3,500, you can already get drinks, food, and three hours of videoke in your own KTV room for five to 15 pax. Not bad! You may also avail of hourly rates for the KTV rooms if you prefer to choose your own drinks and food from their extensive menu. Hosting a party? Their Sala can fit up to 100 pax. Package starts at Php 35,000, inclusive of food, drinks, and videoke time.

For the serious/aspiring videoke stars, Centerstage's playlist is extensive and updated! Their microphones are regularly cleaned and have sanitary covers that are changed per visitors. Rooms are also clean, though some may have lingering smells of food ordered by previous visitors. Some rooms are cold, some not too much. Their waiters are accommodating, though, so I'm sure you can work with them re: temperature adjustment.

An important word of advice: Centerstage can get packed, especially during Friday and weekend nights, so best to reserve via telephone before you come. We made the mistake of forgetting to do this the last time we visited, and we ended up fifth on the waiting list. We had to wait for over an hour--went out to dinner first--before we finally got a room. By then, we were already a bit sleepy. But we still ended up staying over three hours! Our voices were hoarse and our throats itchy when we got home, but we had a blast!

Aside from the banyo, this is where all my pop star dreams come true. From Mariah to Taylor to Backstreet Boys to OF COURSE, SPICE GIRLS, I become who I want to be here; every song I sing becomes an instant hit - whether i know how to sing or not (it's the former *ahem* hahaha) or whether or not people like it (it's just proper KTV etiquette to "wooooo!!!" even the suckiest singers hahahah)

The rooms in Centerstage are so conducive to this "I'm a star" vibe that you can't help but really feeeeeel the song when it's your turn - with matching standing up, interpretative arms (or exact music video dance moves) and dramatic facial expressions.

The song choices are excellent too. Expect to find the greatest and the latest with just a click of the button. All the Spice Girls I want - and you want - are heeeeere!!

All together now - Stop right now, thank you very much...

If there's one talent I want to have, it's the ability to sing my heart out without sounding like a moose being tortured. Alas, I'm just meant to sing in showers. Man, I wish there's a venue where I could just sing my favourite Mariah Carey song, hold a concert for my non-existent fans, and rock it out.

      Oh wait. There's Centerstage.

It's the place where belt it out, a place to let all the anger out because you weren't given the same voice pitch and range as Chaka Kan. Ha-ha. It's where all those who can't carry a tune in the bucket unite. YEAH. Best place to sing those tambay songs. Their song selection is pretty solid and the best part is that its updated. They have like Rihanna & One Direction on their list. Some of the songs are not their singles even.

Centerstage is best for groups and team building. It's where we held our team Christmas party last December. Centerstage offer food and chichas and booze so you're pretty much set, everything is being taken care of. Don't worry about judgemental looks from your officemates, they have the same goal as you have, be a rockstar for a day :p Make sure you have reservations though, specially on a Friday night. This place gets full. And the parking space is small and steep. I suggest parking on the nearby mall.

Karaoke is one of the things Pinoys like to do with pride and conviction. We as a people, love to belt out anything from age old classics to current Top 40 singles loudly and proudly, never mind being off-key. Centerstage is one of the older, reliable, and more reputable KTV chains out there. Their clientele is composed mostly of company team buildings and parties peppered with the occasional group of friends who just want to sing. Their branch in Jupiter looks small from the outside, but is really spacious once you get in. The parking and elevator can be quite a squeeze but after that, you'll have plenty of breathing space. They have rooms as small as for two people and as big for groups of over 20. The facilities can be better, as you can clearly see the wear and tear from the furniture. Overall, it's a nice place to go to with your friends. Just make sure you have reservations.

Foreigners, BEWARE!!! do not go here! They will overcharge and take advantage of you. Me and my bf went to the small room for 3 hours for 2000 pesos with "all you can drink and eat" I asked the girl at the front who was not friendly, THREE times if it was as much as we want, she said yes. We had one pancit to share and an appetizer. My bf had 2 regular beers and I had 2 drinks, one which I send back because it was so damn watered down for a "screw driver" and me and him had 2 shots. The front desk overcharged is well over 2000 ph and I asked why. She said because we "over-consumed" I was very fluid with her and also anytime I called the young man in, to verify that what I was ordering aligned with the offer which his response too, was yes. I will never go back here. The room was unkept and the mikes stopped working immediately, the guy had to change them out. Horrible song choices for English and not enough. Don't waste your money here!

My girlfriend got me a discounted rate for a room at Centerstage for my birthday, because she is sweet and she knows I love belting out (just not when I do it randomly in public). I invited a few of my friends who I knew would love to sing along with me, and we started without hesitation. The room was quite spacious and the chairs were really comfortable. The servers were easily called with the push of a button. The microphones even have a protective anti-laway sleeve (which is reminiscent of a condom), which is a great way to keep the microphones clean for the next user (just don't stick your mouth too close to it). A bucket of beer and some appetizers later, time was up and we had to go home.
I still look back on this day with a smile, since it was the first time I've ever heard one of my friends sing, and his first song was "Dancing Queen".
