If the last week has taught us anything, it’s that British Vogue’s October cover star Zendaya knows how to nail a red-carpet look. From the moment she arrived at the Venice Film Festival to support her new film Dune, the stage was hers. And, thanks to stylist Luxury Roach, she didn’t disappoint.
There was the jaw-dropping custom Balmain, the sizzling David Koma, the Bottega military tailoring, two major Valentino moments, and that unforgettable Alaïa. All exceptional. But can we just take a moment to appreciate the hair? Styled by New York-based hairstylist Antoinette, Zendaya’s successive hair transformations were the real stars of the show. Let’s do a recap.

Arriving at the Lido on the Friday, Zendaya’s hair was left long, natural, and parted to the side. An understated yet chic look.
2. The wet-look
That evening, she raised the bar with slicked-back pin curls in a modern update on Hollywood glam.

4. The up-do
This was followed by a fun and feminine up-do, which she wore for the Valentino dinner. And then came the pièce de résistance…
5. The blunt cut fringe
Dressed in that matching Alaïa plum skirt and crop top combo, Zendaya shut down the red carpet once and for all with a full head of voluminous curls and a blunt cut fringe. Proving herself not only a style icon but a queen of hair transformations, too, Zendaya wins the award for best in show. Where will she take it to next?
