6-year-old Joan Al-Habil is has been repeatedly hospitalized due to severe gastrointestinal problems and overwhelming fatigue. This poor girl has been to multiple facilities and seen multiple doctors, undergone extensive testing (as extensive as is possible in Gaza's collapsed medical system), even having to endure an unsedated endoscopy.
She has now been diagnosed with severe gastritis due to starvation and hazardous living conditions. Remember, she and her family are living on the streets, which are cold and wet due to winter rain. Homelessness, stress, exposure to the elements, her previous injury when the lOF firebombed her tent, and malnutrition all conspire to sap little Joan of her strength.
Her condition is so serious that she even had to undergo surgery. Gastritis very rarely requires surgery to treat, so this is an indication of how dire her condition is. The surgery was successful to a degree, but she is going to need ongoing treatment to manage her symptoms.
The treatments are administered weekly and cost $500 USD (just under €500 EUR). Her family has no income and cannot afford this. If Joan goes more than a few days without treatment, her symptoms worsen rapidly, and she sometimes has to be hospitalized. It is vital that we help her family procure her treatments so that her condition does not worsen!
You can help Joan get her surgery and treatment by

UPDATE: NEW LINK! Yahya and his family were displaced by the IOF, and are currently residing in Deir al-Balah, south-central Gaza.
Life as displaced Gazans was already extremely difficult for them. Food is very scarce, and their living conditions leave them exposed to the elements. Here is the frequent condition of their tent now that the winter rains have come:
Then, Yahya’s father was injured. Some cartilage was damaged in his neck, and doctors say he requires IMMEDIATE surgery to avoid permanent paralysis.
Yahya and his family previously had another campaign, but it was suddenly shut down by GFM with no explanation. They have created a new one, but it has EXTREMELY LOW FUNDS.
The surgery is a stifling €15,000 euros (about $15,729 USD). Yahya and his family have no hope of paying for it without your help.
I am currently watching an elderly loved one lose their mobility, and it is an extremely heartbreaking and isolating situation. I cannot imagine what Yahya and his family are going through, having no social or financial support and only minimal medical care.
Please give what you can to this family. You are their only hope to save their beloved father’s mobility!
Major update on Yahya’s little brother Omar
As discussed previously, Omar remains hospitalized with severe burns. You all raised €700 EUR to attain burn ointment for the immediate treatment of his wounds. Thank you.
Unfortunately, this is just the beginning of Omar’s treatment journey.
At just 7 years old, little Omar has third-degree burns over much of his small body due to the IOF attack. The burns are severe in that they burned through his skin, through his ligaments and muscles, and down to his very bones. To say this little boy is in constant, excruciating pain would be a gross understatement.
The pain is not his only problem. The damage to his skin is so severe that his body is unable to heal itself. He requires a skin graft in order to transplant new skin that will be able to regrow.
Without this, Omar’s extensive wounds will remain exposed for a very, very long time. This makes him extremely vulnerable to a catastrophic infection, and his body will be unable to fight it off. Infections are widespread in Gaza right now due to the IOF’s destruction of sanitation infrastructure and the scarcity of antibiotics and other medicines.
This means that at virtually any time, Omar could contract an infection and die. He URGENTLY needs this skin graft so he can finally start to heal!
Please share the campaign widely, donate if you can, and share Omar’s story with your friends and loved ones in real life!! A little boy’s life is at stake!!

Emergency!! Please Help Out If You Can!!
Hi, I'm Jodie. I'm eighteen and in my first year of university. unfortunately, I've ended up in a really bad financial position which I've been struggling with for the past month and a half. I haven't been able to work much as I am on a zero-hour contract back in my hometown and can only work when I visit. I have been struggling severely to find a job that is close by to my University and that works with my schedule. This has left me to struggle with affording basic necessities such as food, and transportation. I have been relying on a student maintenance loan to pay for my rent and any extra money left over goes towards food and transportation. Unfortunately for me, the loan I receive on January 5th does not cover the entirety of my rent, which needs to be paid on January 6th. I do not have a lot of money and will not be able to afford much until I get paid a better amount of money on January 25th. Any help is highly appreciated, I just need as much help as I can receive over the course of the next few days.
I have set up this gofundme in hopes that anyone can help out. Even if you just share the link with people you know it would be beneficial for me.
The news of the ceasefire starting is amazing. Soon the border may open again, and tonight the people of gaza can finally sleep without hearing bombs for the first time in a long time. There is a lot of hope, but that doesn’t mean it’s over or that people don’t need your help anymore. My friend Ibrahim’s (@wolf-aid) best friend was tragically martyred only two days before the ceasefire started and his father was diagnosed with cancer only a couple weeks ago and needs treatment. When the border opens, they need to evacuate to safety and get his father treatment. They’re extremely close to their goal and only need 1,422 euro to reach their goal
The war has stopped and everyone is happy, but my family and I are crying all the time over our destroyed house and our difficult life (tonight we couldn't sleep because of the cold in the tent we live in).!!!!!!

The doctors hope to be able to perform the skin graft on Saturday, 25 January 2025. It is now Tuesday, 21 January. We have 4 days to raise the required funds so little Omar can get his skin graft and begin the recovery process.

🚨The ceasefire enters into force 8:30am
- The ceasefire has begun to take effect in Gaza, a moment we have been waiting for impatiently, but it comes loaded with contradictory feelings that are difficult to describe, overwhelming joy because the sound of the shells will stop, and the sky will be silent for the first time, but with the joy, there is a deep sadness creeping into our depths, sadness for the souls that have passed away. Before this moment bears witness to the dreams that were buried under the rubble, and to the living who will remain the scars of this war engraved in their hearts.
- At this moment, prayers are mixed with tears. We hope that peace will prevail in the hearts of our people, but we carry in our hearts the weight of those who left us. The ceasefire is not only an end to the loud voices, but rather the beginning of a new silence that carries with it memories of war and hopes for recovery.
- However, despite the exhaustion and sleepless nights, there is a small feeling growing inside me, similar to those childhood dreams. Perhaps this moment is the beginning of a major transformation, to create a new future, where Gaza can regain its right to life.
I remind you, my friends, that my family is still living in displacement and the humanitarian need for shelter continues, and I ask you for continued support and attention.

Last night, the family’s tent was firebombed by the IOF, along with all the others in the camp.
Much of the family was injured, with Khalil’s little brother Omar sustaining severe burns over much of his body.
Omar is going to require surgeries in the near future, but for now, the family urgently needs $700 USD to provide him with burn treatment.
If Omar does not receive this treatment very soon, the damage from his burns with worsen. He urgently needs burn ointment to treat the current damage.
He is a young child in excruciating pain who desperately needs your help to afford treatment.
Please do anything you can to help him, including donating if possible and sharing the campaign widely!
New temporary goal: €3,126 EUR
Currently: €2,426
Need to raise: €700 EUR (about $720 USD)
Update: €3,034 out of €3,126 EUR
Need to raise: €92 EUR

We are so close, and Omar is in EXTREMELY DIRE NEED! His burns worsen the longer they go untreated, and he has severe deep tissue damage to many parts of his body!!
Just $95 USD to finally begin his treatment in earnest and bring him some comfort!
Please help!!

🌟 A Plea from Gaza: Rola’s Story 🌟
Hello, my name is Rola, and I am a mother of two children living in the Gaza Strip. Our lives were once filled with love, laughter, and dreams for the future. But everything changed on October 7th, when the war shattered not only our home but our entire world.
That morning, my family and I were enjoying coffee together on the balcony. Out of nowhere, an explosion erupted, shaking our home violently. My husband and son ran for cover, falling over each other in panic, while I stood frozen, still holding my cup, unable to process the chaos around me. When I looked out the window, I saw that our neighbor’s house, once filled with life, had been reduced to rubble. Ambulances rushed to the scene as people scrambled to rescue the injured and pull bodies from the debris.
The bombings didn’t stop. At night, the rain poured heavily, and the cold seeped into our bones. I stayed awake, covering my children to keep them warm and praying for their safety. But safety is an illusion here. Another explosion shattered the night, and our neighbors’ home was destroyed. Their children, who had been sleeping peacefully under a blanket, were found lifeless, their cover soaked in blood.
I looked at my children with tears in my eyes and thought, How can I protect you? We had to flee our home with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We left behind my children’s toys, their clothes, and their beautiful bedroom. Everything we had worked so hard to build is gone.
Our Current Reality Now, we are displaced and living in a nightmare. Food is scarce, and prices are unimaginably high—$10 for a kilo of sugar! The fear of death hangs over us constantly. My children deserve a life of joy and hope, not one defined by fear and loss. Why can’t we live like everyone else—go to work, visit family, and watch our children play in safety? Why do our children have to grow up surrounded by death and destruction?
How You Can Help I am pleading for your kindness to help us rebuild our lives. We need your support to: 💔 Rebuild our home, so my children can feel safe again. 🌍 Evacuate from Gaza, seeking a future where my family can live with dignity. 🩺 Provide urgent medical care for my children, who need protection from this nightmare.
Even the smallest donation can make a difference. If you can’t donate, please share my story. Every share brings us closer to hope.
What Your Support Means Your kindness is not just about helping us survive; it’s about giving us a chance to dream again. To rebuild what we’ve lost and to ensure my children have a future filled with possibilities, not fear.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support means the world to us. Let’s work together to rebuild hope, one step at a time.
🌸 Please share our story and consider donating today. 🌸
Together, we can create a better tomorrow. 🌍❤️
