About the Shali Tibba:
The Shali Tibba is a peaceful location in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh at 2872 m. The best time to visit Shali Tibba is in the month of March to December. Shali Tibba is a vantage point not to be missed. This place is a heavenly abode for photographers and nature lovers.
The Shali top has a temple dedicated to the goddess Bhima Kali. The temple has been constructed with wood and stones, following the rural Himalayan architecture. Mashobra is the nearest town from the base camp and the total length of the trek is 6 km one way.
About the Shali Tibba Day Hike:
Your journey will start from Shimla. Also, do not forget to pick your Lunch before you leave the city. Onboard your Cab along with your Guide and head towards Khatnol. After a 2.5 hour drive, we finally reach the starting point of our hike. To count a few, the main features of this hike include the clouds dipping in the valleys, hanging cliffs, forested path, trails branching off in both directions, calls of some Himalayan birds, and a few village houses sheltered by the wilderness.
Locals visit the temple on the top of the Shali peak almost every week that is dedicated to Maa Bhimakali and is situated on a round-shaped plateau with a square platform on the top. Once we reach the summit, then you are able to see yourself above the clouds, you can hear the birds chirping, and you can feel the cold breeze flowing through your soul. Enjoy the lunch, take photographs, capture the moments in your memory. After that proceed back to the Khatnol Village, and later head back towards Shimla, and your hiking experience comes to an end.
