John Cavendish, 5th Baron Chesham2
     John Charles Compton Cavendish, 5th Baron Chesham was born on 18 June 1916.1 He was the son of John Compton Cavendish, 4th Baron Chesham and Margot Mills.3 He married Mary Edmunds Marshall, daughter of David Gregory Marshall, on 28 September 1937.1 He died on 23 December 1989 at age 73.4
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Buckinghamshire in 1946.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Chesham, of Chesham, co. Buckingham [U.K., 1858] on 26 April 1952.1 He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting to HM Queen Elizabeth II between January 1955 and October 1959.1 He was Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transport between October 1959 and 1964.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1964.1 He was executive vice-chairman of the Royal Automobile Club between 1966 and 1970.1

     Marion Caher Donoghue was the daughter of Daniel Charles Donoghue.2 She married, firstly, A. Brook Edwards before 1930.3 She married, secondly, Theobald Walter Somerset Henry Butler, 8th Earl of Carrick, son of Charles Ernest Alfred French Somerset Butler, 7th Earl of Carrick and Ellen Rosemond Mary Lindsay, on 14 August 1930.3 She and Theobald Walter Somerset Henry Butler, 8th Earl of Carrick were divorced in 1938.2 She married, thirdly, John Compton Cavendish, 4th Baron Chesham, son of Maj.-Gen. Charles Compton William Cavendish, 3rd Baron Chesham and Lady Beatrice Constance Grosvenor, on 20 October 1938.1 She died on 6 September 1973.1
     From before 1930, her married name became Edwards.2 From 14 August 1930, her married name became Butler. After her marriage, Marion Caher Donoghue was styled as Countess of Carrick on 2 November 1931. From 20 October 1938, her married name became Cavendish. After her marriage, Marion Caher Donoghue was styled as Baroness Chesham on 20 October 1938. She was with the Auxiliary Territorial Service during the Second World War.1 She was with the American Red Cross.1 She held the office of Member of the National Assembly [Tanganyika] in 1958, for the Iringa Constituency.1

     Theobald Walter Somerset Henry Butler, 8th Earl of Carrick was born on 23 May 1903.1 He was the son of Charles Ernest Alfred French Somerset Butler, 7th Earl of Carrick and Ellen Rosemond Mary Lindsay.1,2 He married, firstly, Marion Caher Donoghue, daughter of Daniel Charles Donoghue, on 14 August 1930.3 He and Marion Caher Donoghue were divorced in 1938.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Power, daughter of Charles B. Power, on 18 October 1938. He married, thirdly, Ruth McEnery, daughter of Francis T. M. McEnery, on 21 October 1954.4 He died on 31 July 1957 at age 54.4
     He was styled as Viscount Ikerrin between 1909 and 1931.1 He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Tonbridge School, Tonbridge, Kent, EnglandG.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Butler, of Mount Juliet, co. Kilkenny [U.K., 1912] on 2 November 1931.1 He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Carrick, co. Tipperary [I., 1748] on 2 November 1931.3 He succeeded as the 15th Viscount Ikerrin, co.      Violet Yolande Leonard was the daughter of Charles Leonard.1 She married John Cavendish Lyttelton, 9th Viscount Cobham, son of Charles George Lyttelton, 8th Viscount Cobham and Hon. Mary Susan Caroline Cavendish, on 30 June 1908 at St. Peter's Church, Eaton Square, Belgravia, London, EnglandG.1,2 She died on 28 February 1966.1
     Her married name became Lyttelton. After her marriage, Violet Yolande Leonard was styled as Viscountess Cobham on 9 June 1922.

     Elizabeth Alison Makeig-Jones was the daughter of John Reeder Makeig-Jones.1 She married Charles John Lyttelton, 10th Viscount Cobham, son of John Cavendish Lyttelton, 9th Viscount Cobham and Violet Yolande Leonard, on 30 April 1942.1 She died in 1986.1
     She was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1 Her married name became Lyttelton. After her marriage, Elizabeth Alison Makeig-Jones was styled as Viscountess Cobham on 31 July 1949.

     Penelope Ann Cooper was born circa 1954. She is the daughter of Roy Cooper.1 She married John William Leonard Lyttelton, 11th Viscount Cobham, son of Charles John Lyttelton, 10th Viscount Cobham and Elizabeth Alison Makeig-Jones, on 2 February 1974.1 She and John William Leonard Lyttelton, 11th Viscount Cobham were divorced on 30 August 1995.1
     From 2 February 1974, her married name became Lyttelton. After her marriage, Penelope Ann Cooper was styled as Viscountess Cobham on 20 March 1977. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 2014.2

     Lady Florence Mary Cole was the daughter of William Willoughby Cole, 3rd Earl of Enniskillen and Jane Casamaijor.1 She married John Henry Crichton, 4th Earl Erne of Crom Castle, son of John Crichton, 3rd Earl Erne of Crom Castle and Selina Griselda Beresford, on 28 December 1870.1 She died on 23 March 1924.1
     Her married name became Crichton. After her marriage, Lady Florence Mary Cole was styled as Countess Erne of Crom Castle on 3 October 1885.

     John Crichton, 3rd Earl Erne of Crom Castle was born on 30 July 1802.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. John Crichton and Jane Weldon.1 He married Selina Griselda Beresford, daughter of Reverend Charles Cobbe Beresford and Amelia Montgomery, on 6 July 1837.2 He died on 3 October 1885 at age 83.
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Fermanagh in 1827.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Fermanagh.2 He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland].2 He held the office of Custos Rotulorum of County Fermanagh.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Erne of Crom Castle, co. Fermanagh [I., 1768] on 10 June 1842.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl Erne of Crom Castle [I., 1789] on 10 June 1842.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Erne of Crom Castle, co. Fermanagh [I., 1781] on 10 June 1842.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) in 1868.2 He was created 1st Baron Fermanagh of Lisnaskea, co. Fermanagh [U.K.] on 13 January 1876.2
