     Sir Malby Sturges Crofton, 5th Bt. was born on 11 January 1923.1 He was the son of Sir Malby Richard Henry Crofton, 4th Bt. and Katharine Beatrix Pollard.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Madeline Nina Mansel, daughter of Major Rhys Clavell Mansel and Sylvia Nina Campbell, on 14 January 1961.1 He and Elizabeth Madeline Nina Mansel were divorced in 1966.1 He married, secondly, Sally Mabel Henley Eden, daughter of Major George Henley Eden and Avril Edith Simmons, in 1998.1 He died on 20 January 2002 at age 79.1
