     Captain Hon. Reginald Cathcart was born on 9 November 1870.1 He was the son of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton.2 He died on 22 February 1900 at age 29 at Ladysmith, South AfricaG, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He fought in the Boer War.1

Hon. Sir John Rose, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Temple, on 26 July 1883.1 She died on 2 October 1932 at age 74.1

     Captain Edward Temple Rose was born on 2 November 1855.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Rose, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Temple.2 He married Lady Cecilia Cathcart, daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton, on 26 July 1883.2 He died in 1920.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 10th Hussars.2

     Charlotte Temple was the daughter of Robert Emmett Temple.2 She married Rt. Hon. Sir John Rose, 1st Bt., son of William Rose and Elizabeth Fyfe, on 3 July 1843.1 She died on 3 December 1883.1

     From 24 July 1886, her married name became Hare.

     Sir Thomas Leigh Hare, 1st Bt. was born illegitimately on 4 April 1859.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Hare, 2nd Bt. and Grace Norman.1 He was born in 1867.2 He married Lady Ida Cathcart, daughter of Alan Frederick Cathcart, 3rd Earl Cathcart and Elizabeth Mary Crompton, on 24 July 1886.3 He died on 22 February 1941 at age 81.
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.4 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 24th Regiment.4 He fought in the Zulu War in 1879.4 He fought in the Egyptian Expedition in 1882.4 He fought in the Suakim Expedition in 1885.4 From 24 July 1886, his married name became Cathcart. He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1889.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South-West Norfolk between 1892 and 1906.4 He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the P.W.O. Norfolk, Royal Field Artillery.4 He fought in the Boer War in 1901.4 In 1905 Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)3 He was created 1st Baronet Hare, of Stow Hall, Stow Bardolf, Norfolk [U.K.] on 21 December 1905.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.4 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk.4
