     He gained the title of Graf von Henneberg-Schleusingen.

     He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 8th Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.¹

     Herbert Knott lived at Sunny Park, Wilmslow, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     John Maurice Wakefield Knott was born on 1 January 1920.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Espenett Knott and Dorothy Mary Bayly.¹ He died on 11 June 1942 at age 22 at Libya^G, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹
