     James Arthur Fitzroy Stockdale was born on 16 October 1948.1 He is the son of Lt.-Col. Frank Alleyne Stockdale and Frances Jean Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe.1 He married Mary Jane Gabriel Hazzard, daughter of William Hazzard, in 1974.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Southampton University, Southampton, Hampshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1972 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He lived in 2003 at Moons Mill, Tinkers Lane, Hadlow Down, Sussex, EnglandG.1

     From 30 October 1965, her married name became Castleman.1

Rachel Gough-Calthorpe.1 She married Ian St. John Lawson Johnston, 2nd Baron Luke, son of George Lawson Johnston, 1st Baron Luke and Hon. Edith Laura St. John, on 4 February 1932.1 She died on 30 December 2006 at age 95.2
     Her married name became Lawson Johnston. After her marriage, Barbara Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe was styled as Baroness Luke on 23 February 1943.

Ian St. John Lawson Johnston, 2nd Baron Luke

     Ian St. John Lawson Johnston, 2nd Baron Luke was born on 7 June 1905.1 He was the son of George Lawson Johnston, 1st Baron Luke and Hon. Edith Laura St. John.1 He married Barbara Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, daughter of Sir FitzRoy Hamilton Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, 1st Bt. and Hon. Rachel Gough-Calthorpe, on 4 February 1932.2 He died on 25 May 1996 at age 90.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1927 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1933 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Bedfordshire in 1938.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Bedfordshire in 1939.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1943.1 He held the office of Member of the Bedfordshire County Council between 1943 and 1952.1 He was chairman of Bovril between 1943 and 1970.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Luke, of Pavenham, co. Bedford [U.K., 1929] on 23 February 1943.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1949.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Bedfordshire.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1976.1
