     Major Raymond Kyle Cotter was born on 12 August 1889.2 He was the son of Surgn.-Col. Samuel Kyle Cotter and Mary Elizabeth Anderson.3 He married Beryl Jessica Macdonald Wintle, daughter of Charles Macdonald Wintle, on 6 May 1914.2 He died on 8 June 1948 at age 58.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)2

     He lived at Hainton, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1
