Evelyn Harriet Lavinia Portman was born on 26 September 1843 at Langton Lodge, Blandford, Dorset, England.2 She was the daughter of Henry William Berkeley Portman and Harriet Emily Cavendish Sturt.2 She married Hon. Maurice Berkeley Portman, son of Edward Berkley Portman, 1st Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Lady Emma Lascelles, on 3 October 1867 at Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England.1,2 She died on 27 January 1927 at age 83.3

Sir James Stewart Douglas, 6th Bt. was born on 25 March 1859.1 He was the son of General Sir Robert Percy Douglas, 4th Bt. and Louisa Lang. He married Ada Constance Fisher, daughter of Lt.-Gen. E. H. Fisher, on 5 December 1891.1 He died on 5 November 1940 at age 81.
