Sir John Moncreiff of that Ilk, 5th Bt. was born circa 1628.1 He was the son of Hugh Moncreiff and Isabel Hay.2 He married Nicola Moncreiff, daughter of Sir John Moncreiff of Easter Moncreiff and Jean Pitcairn, in 1680.1 He died on 27 April 1714.1
He was a physician.1 He wrote the book The Poor Man's Physician.3 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Moncreiff [N.S., 1626] in 1698.1 He lived at Tippermallch, Scotland.1
