     Hon. Trevor Oswin Lewis was born on 29 November 1935.¹ He was the son of William Brereton Couchman Lewis, 3rd Baron Merthyr and Violet Meyrick.² He married Susan Jane Birt-Llewellin, daughter of Arthur John Birt-Llewellin, on 18 April 1964.¹ He died on 5 August 2015 at age 79.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dyfed between 1969 and 1994.¹ He was deputy chairman and chairman of the Committee for Wales between 1973 and 1980.¹ He was member of Countryside Commission between 1973 and 1983.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Merthyr, of Senghenydd, co. Glamorgan [U.K., 1911] on 5 April 1977.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Lewis [U.K., 1896] on 5 April 1977.¹ On 26 April 1977 he disclaimed his barony for life (hence does not use armorial supporters.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1983.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dyfed in 1994.¹ He lived in 2003 at Hean Castle, Saundersfoot, Dyfed, Wales.¹

     Arthur John Birt-Llewellin lived at Boulston Manor, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales.¹

     Susan Jane Birt-Llewellin is the daughter of Arthur John Birt-Llewellin.² She married Hon. Trevor Oswin Lewis, son of William Brereton Couchman Lewis, 3rd Baron Merthyr and Violet Meyrick, on 18 April 1964.¹
     From 18 April 1964, her married name became Lewis.

     David Trevor Lewis, 5th Baron Merthyr was born on 21 February 1977.¹ He is the son of Hon. Trevor Oswin Lewis and Susan Jane Birt-Llewellin.² He married Elizabeth Jane Widdows, daughter of William Maurice Widdows, on 14 September 2002.¹
     He was educated at Monkton Combe School, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He graduated from Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England, in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Hean Castle, Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, Wales.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Merthyr, of Senghenydd, co. Glamorgan [U.K., 1911] on 5 August 2015. He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Lewis [U.K., 1896] on 5 August 2015.

     William Maurice Widdows lived at Goring Heath, Oxfordshire, England.¹

     Elizabeth Jane Widdows is the daughter of William Maurice Widdows.² She married David Trevor Lewis, 5th Baron Merthyr, son of Hon. Trevor Oswin Lewis and Susan Jane Birt-Llewellin, on 14 September 2002.¹
     MRICS.¹ She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ From 14 September 2002, her married name became Lewis.

     Hon. Chloe Victoria Lewis was born on 16 November 2004.¹ She is the daughter of David Trevor Lewis, 5th Baron Merthyr and Elizabeth Jane Widdows.²

     Hon. Lucy Delia Lewis was born on 10 April 1967.¹ She is the daughter of Hon. Trevor Oswin Lewis and Susan Jane Birt-Llewellin.² She married, firstly, Harvey John Bradnam in 1990.¹ She and Harvey John Bradnam were divorced.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Timothy John Harbinson in 2003.¹
     She gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1987 and 1994 in the Royal Navy.¹ From 1990, her married name became Bradnam. She gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery (Voly.)¹ From 2003, her married name became Harbinson.

     Harvey John Bradnam married Hon. Lucy Delia Lewis, daughter of Hon. Trevor Oswin Lewis and Susan Jane Birt-Llewellin, in 1990.¹ He and Hon. Lucy Delia Lewis were divorced.¹

     Benjamin Arthur John Bradnam was born on 3 October 1994.¹ He is the son of Harvey John Bradnam and Hon. Lucy Delia Lewis.²
