     Marie Hepburn was the daughter of Patrick Hepburn of Fairnington and Agnes Hoppringle.1 She married James Hamilton of Sprouston, son of unknown Hamilton.1 She died in July 1571.1 Her will was proven (by probate) on 27 February 1575/76.1
     Her married name became Hamilton.1 She was also known as Margaret.1 She was also known as Marioun.1

     Sir Edward John Mann, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 January 1883.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Mann, 1st Bt. and Anna Jane Bell.2 He married Clare Helen Alexander, daughter of Robert Graham Dryden Alexander, on 25 April 1951.1 He died on 17 September 1971 at age 88, without issue.1,3
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.1 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1904 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1939.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mann, of Thelveton Hall, Thelveton, co. Norfolk [U.K., 1905] on 29 September 1943.1

     Clare Helen Alexander was born on 18 January 1906.2 She was the daughter of Robert Graham Dryden Alexander.3 She married Sir Edward John Mann, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Edward Mann, 1st Bt. and Anna Jane Bell, on 25 April 1951.1 She died on 23 January 1989 at age 83.2
     She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1950.1 From 25 April 1951, her married name became Mann. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1962.1
