     He was Secretary of the Local Government and Taxation of Town Commission and Poor Law and Lunacy Inquiry Commission [Ireland].2 He was Commissioner of Municipal Boundaries Ireland between 1878 and 1879.2 He was Inspector of Local Government Board between 1879 and 1891.2 He was Commissioner of Local Government Board between 1891 and 1898.2 He was Vice-President of Local Government Board between 1898 and 1920.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland]2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)2 He was created 1st Baronet Robinson, of Lisnacarrig, Foxrock, co. Dublin [U.K.] on 30 January 1920.2
