     Sir James Stanley, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Stanley, 3rd Bt. and Christian Lennard.2 He married Frances Butler, daughter of George Butler and Hon. Catherine King, in November 1740.1 He died circa 14 March 1746/47, without issue.1 He was buried on 17 March 1746/47.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Stanley, of Alderley [E., 1660] in 1721.1 He lived at Alderley, Cheshire, England.1

     Rt. Rev. Edward Stanley was born on 1 January 1779.1 He was the son of Sir John Thomas Stanley, 6th Bt. and Margaret Owen.2 He married Catherine Leycester, daughter of Reverend Oswald Leycester, on 8 May 1810.1 He died on 6 September 1849 at age 70.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He held the office of Bishop of Norwich.1
