Dirk van Brederode Heer van Doortoge Zegwaard en Zevenhuizen was born in 1255 at Santpoort, The Netherlands.1 He was the son of Floris van Brederode Heer van Doortoge and unknown daughter Persijn.1 He married Ermengarde van Naaldwijk, daughter of Hugo II Heer van Naaldwijk, in 1280.1 He died on 28 January 1306.1
