     Charles Alexander Howell was born in 1863 at Plympton, Devon, England.1 He was the son of Francis Howell and Rhoda Harriot Caroline Buller.1 He died in 1926 at Bodmin, Cornwall, England.1
     He gained the rank of Midshipman in the Royal Navy.1 He was a practising barrister-at-law.1

     Kathleen Mary Peck was the daughter of Alfred Sydney Peck.1 She married Arthur Espie Porritt, Baron Porritt, son of Ernest Edward Porritt and Ivy Elizabeth Mackenzie, on 20 December 1946.1 She died on 13 July 1998.1
     Kathleen Mary Peck also went by the nick-name of Kay.1 From 20 December 1946, her married name became Porritt.1

     He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.1 He gained the rank of Flight Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Air Service.1
