     Joan Amy Jeffrey was the daughter of Robert Milne Jeffrey.2 She married Edgar Warner Chamberlain on 2 November 1901 at St. Paul's Church, Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada.3 She and Edgar Warner Chamberlain were divorced in May 1907 at London, England, with Sir Brodrick Hartwell, 4th Bt. cited as a co-respondent.3 She married Lt.-Col. Sir Brodrick Cecil Denham Arkwright Hartwell, 4th Bt., son of Captain Edward Hughes Brodrick Hartwell and Augusta Henrietta Paget, on 16 May 1908.1 She died on 12 May 1962.1
     From 2 November 1901, her married name became Chamberlain.3 From 16 May 1908, her married name became Hartwell.1

Sir Brodrick William Charles Elwin Hartwell, 5th Bt.1

     Sir Brodrick William Charles Elwin Hartwell, 5th Bt. was born on 8 August 1909 at Glamorgan, Wales.1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Brodrick Cecil Denham Arkwright Hartwell, 4th Bt. and Joan Amy Jeffrey.3 He married, firstly, Marie Josephine Mullins, daughter of Simon Peter Mullins, on 13 March 1937.1 He and Marie Josephine Mullins were divorced in 1950.1 He married, secondly, Mary Maude Church, daughter of J. W. Church, in 1951.1 He died on 14 December 1993 at age 84 at Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.1,2
     He was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Pilot Officer in the Royal Air Force.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He gained the rank of Captain in 1943 in the Leicestershire Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Hartwell, of Dale Hall, Essex [U.K., 1805] on 24 November 1948.1

     Kathleen Edith Doreen Augusta Hartwell was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Brodrick Cecil Denham Arkwright Hartwell, 4th Bt. and Joan Amy Jeffrey.2 She married Michael William Bramston Hicks-Beach, son of William Guy Hicks Beach and Fanny Muriel Stewart, on 22 July 1940.1 She died in 1985.1
     From 22 July 1940, her married name became Hicks-Beach.

     Michael William Bramston Hicks-Beach was born on 12 March 1919.2 He was the son of William Guy Hicks Beach and Fanny Muriel Stewart.2,3 He married Kathleen Edith Doreen Augusta Hartwell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Brodrick Cecil Denham Arkwright Hartwell, 4th Bt. and Joan Amy Jeffrey, on 22 July 1940.1 He died on 8 February 1985 at age 65 at West Turks Row, London, England.2,4
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)1

     Mary Maude Church is the daughter of J. W. Church.2 She married Sir Brodrick William Charles Elwin Hartwell, 5th Bt., son of Lt.-Col. Sir Brodrick Cecil Denham Arkwright Hartwell, 4th Bt. and Joan Amy Jeffrey, in 1951.1
     She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)1 From 1951, her married name became Hartwell.
