Maj.-Gen. Sir John Hanmer, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Hanmer, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Baker.2 He married Mary Alston, daughter of Joseph Alston.1 He died in 1701, killed in a duel, without surviving issue.1
He was Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to King Charles II.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Flintshire.1 He held the office of Commissioner of the Navy.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Hanmer [E., 1620] in 1678.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Williamite Regiment.1 He fought in the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.1

Bertie Entwisle Jarvis was born on 31 July 1793.2 He was the son of Thomas Jarvis and Jane Whitehead.2 He was baptised on 22 January 1794.2 He married, firstly, Lucy Brasier, daughter of Kilner Brooke Brasier and Mary Creagh, on 23 November 1843 at Watergrass Hill, County Cork, Ireland.1,2 He married, secondly, Martha Elliott Oliver on 6 December 1859 at The Cathedral, Antigua.2 He died on 15 October 1862 at age 69, at sea.2
