     Janet Ross was the daughter of Walter Ross of Balnagowan and Marion Grant.1,2 She married Hugh Fraser, 3rd Lord (Fraser of) Lovat, son of Thomas Fraser, 2nd Lord (Fraser of) Lovat and Janet Gordon, before 19 July 1536.1 She died in 1565.3
     From before 19 July 1536, her married name became Fraser.1

Hugh Fraser, 6th of Lovat1

     Hugh Fraser, 6th of Lovat was born circa 1376.2 He was the son of Hugh Fraser, 4th of Lovat and Isobel Wemyss.3 He married, firstly, Janet de Fenton, daughter of unknown de Fenton, in 1425.2 He married, secondly, Isabel Wemyss, daughter of Sir John Wemyss and Isabel Erskine, before December 1429.2 He died in July 1440.
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Inverness-shire in 1431.2
