     Evelyn Rosemary Jane Hood was born on 24 May 1910.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Wynn Hornby Hood and Miram Ethel North Smith.2 She married Brigadier Brian Wolseley Webb-Carter, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir John Carter, on 11 December 1937.1 She died on 10 September 1979 at age 69.1
     From 11 December 1937, her married name became Webb-Carter.

Sir John Carter.3 He married, firstly, Mollie St. John Hickman in 1930.2 He married, secondly, Evelyn Rosemary Jane Hood, daughter of Samuel Wynn Hornby Hood and Miram Ethel North Smith, on 11 December 1937.1 He died in 1981.1
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Duke of Wellington's Regiment.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1967.1 He was Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion, Irish Guards between 1979 and 1981.1 He was Commander of the British Forces Belize between 1983 and 1986.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He was Director of Personnel Army between 1992 and 1995.1 He lived in 2003 at Little Ashton Farm, Ashton Lane, Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
