     Cyril Maynard Günther was born NSW BDM index no. 20999/1879 in 1879 at Parramatta, New South Wales, AustraliaG. He was the son of William James Günther and Mary Jane Willis.1 He died on 17 November 1932 at Woollahra, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG, NSW BDM index no. 21318/1932.2
     He was Manager. He was educated The King's School, Parramatta.3
Obituary in The Argus, Friday 18 November 1932:

Mr Cyril Maynard Gunther, one of the leading commercial men in Sydney, and spokesman for the movement which is endeavouring to bring about a revision of the tariff, died yesterday, aged 53 years. Death resulted from complications following an attack of influenza. Mr Gunther was a son of the late Ven. Archdeacon Gunther, who for many years was incumbent of St John's Church, Parramatta. He was educated at The King's School, Parramatta, and when aged 18 years entered the employ of the Colonial Sugar Refining Co. In 1917 he left the Colonial Sugar Refining Co. and joined R. W. Cameron and Co. as general manager, a position which he held at the time of his death.3
