     Her married name became Rogers.2 From 23 May 1888, her married name became ffrench.1

     General Oscar Veniah Dayton was born on 1 July 1827 at Catskill, Greene County, New York, U.S.A.2 He was the son of John Harvey Dayton and Charlotte Tompkins.2 He married Nichola Frances ffrench, daughter of Acheson Jeremy Sydney ffrench and Anna Clarke Watton, on 19 January 1891 at Kensington, London, England.1,2 He died on 30 October 1898 at age 71 at Kensington, London, England.2
     He fought in the American Civil War.2 He gained the rank of Brevet Brigadier-General in the U.S. Volunteers.2
