     Colonel Anthony Wyndham Gason was born on 18 September 1917.1 He was the son of Major George Houghton Gason and Mabel Marriott-Dodington.2 He married, firstly, Mary Patricia Russell, daughter of William John Russell, on 2 June 1942.1 He and Mary Patricia Russell were divorced in 1958.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy de Mercado, daughter of Lionel de Mercado, on 7 May 1958.1 He died on 23 November 2008 at age 91 at Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.3
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned in 1938, in the service of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded twice.1 He was an instructor between 1942 and 1943 at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was with the British Military Mission to Greece between 1947 and 1949.1 He was DAAG of the HQ Southern Command between 1951 and 1953.1 He was Staff Officer British Commandant, Berlin between 1956 and 1958.1 He was GSO Training of the BAOR between 1958 and 1960.1 He was GSO Training of the Greek and Turkish Armies at HQ ALFSEE between 1960 and 1962 at Izmir, TurkeyG.1 He was awarded the NATO Certificate of Merit in 1962.1 He was associate of Lord Ronald Graham & Comapny Ltd of Ocho Rios.1 He was Director of the Jamaica Association of Villas & Apartments between 1969 and 1973.1 He was owner and manager of Resort Rentals and Real Estate Ltd at Port Antonio, JamaicaG.1 He lived in 1976 at Turtle Cove, Port Antonio, JamaicaG.1 He lived in 1976 at Kilteelagh, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1

     Mary Patricia Russell was the daughter of William John Russell.2 She married Colonel Anthony Wyndham Gason, son of Major George Houghton Gason and Mabel Marriott-Dodington, on 2 June 1942.1 She and Colonel Anthony Wyndham Gason were divorced in 1958.1 She died on 29 November 2010.3
     From 2 June 1942, her married name became Gason.
