     Mary Helen Maxwell Maunsell was born on 10 March 1894.¹ She was the daughter of Robert George Stone Maunsell and Anna Margaret Spaight.² She married Seymour Tyrer Shenton in November 1924.¹ She died in 1978 at Shepway, Kent, England.³
     She gained the rank of officer in 1917 in the Women's Royal Naval Service. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) From November 1924, her married name became Shenton.

     Seymour Tyrer Shenton married Mary Helen Maxwell Maunsell, daughter of Robert George Stone Maunsell and Anna Margaret Spaight, in November 1924.¹
     He retired from the military, with the rank of Lieutenant, late of the Royal Navy.¹
