     Sir Eric de Burgh was born on 10 May 1881.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Thomas John de Burgh and Emily Anne Fock.1 He married Mary Fanshawe, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Edward Arthur Fanshawe and Frances Rose Higginson, on 31 October 1923.2 He died on 6 February 1973 at age 91.1
