Served in the Revolutionary War from Dracut, Massachusetts, but listed his birthplace as Nottingham West, New Hampshire. - Service recordslist him as 'DAVICE' from Dracut, Massachusetts; age 17, stature as 5 foot 4 inches. He was discharged at West Point
Family lore says that Dudley served General George Washington as a waiter.
