Major James Andrew Colville Wedderburn-Maxwell was born on 5 February 1849.2 He is the son of Andrew Wedderburn-Maxwell of Middlebie and Joanna Keir.2 He married Helen Mary Godfrey Godfrey-Faussett-Osborne, daughter of Reverend Henry Godfrey Godfrey-Faussett-Osborne, on 29 October 1891.2 He died on 28 December 1917 at age 68.2
He was given the name of James Andrew Colville Wedderburn at birth. He fought in the Jandola Expedition in 1880.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Bengal Staff Corps.2 He fought in the Burma Campaign between 1886 and 1887.2 In 1896 his name was legally changed to James Andrew Colville Wedderburn-Maxwell. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kirkcudbrightshire.2 He lived at Glenlair, Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.2 He lived at Middlebie, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.2

Sir Archibald Richard Southby, 2nd Bt., son of Commander Sir Archibald Richard James Southby, 1st Bt. and Phyllis Mary Garton, in 1964.1 She died on 3 August 1978.1
