     Mary Elizabeth Elton was the daughter of Sir Charles Abraham Elton, 6th Bt. and Sarah Smith.² She married Frederick Bayard Elton, son of Isaac Elton and Catherine Bayard.¹ She died on 26 September 1840.¹

     Charles Isaac Elton was born on 6 December 1839.¹ He was the son of Frederick Bayard Elton and Mary Elizabeth Elton.² He married Mary Augusta Strachey, daughter of Richard Strachey and Anne Marie Powell, on 6 August 1863.¹ He died on 23 April 1900 at age 60, without issue.¹
     He was a Fellow at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Somerset from 1884 to 1885.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wellington between 1886 and 1892.² He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)¹ He lived at Manor House, Whitestaunton, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Richard Strachey was born on 21 May 1781.² He is the son of Sir Henry Strachey, 1st Bt. and Jane Kelsall.² He married Anne Marie Powell, daughter of Alexander Powell, on 1 June 1830.² He died on 5 May 1847 at age 65.²
     He lived at Ashwick Grove, Oakhill, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Mary Augusta Strachey was born on 21 June 1838.² She was the daughter of Richard Strachey and Anne Marie Powell.² She married Charles Isaac Elton, son of Frederick Bayard Elton and Mary Elizabeth Elton, on 6 August 1863.¹ She died on 2 February 1914 at age 75.¹
     From 6 August 1863, her married name became Elton.

     Thomas Davis Bayley married Sarah Frances Clutterbuck, daughter of Reverend James Lewis Clutterbuck and Frances Elton, on 28 September 1842.¹
