     Eva Augusta French was the daughter of William John French.¹ She married George Tilson Shaen Carter, son of Thomas Shaen Carter and Maria Susan Tilson, on 15 April 1878.¹ She died on 15 July 1891.¹
     From 15 April 1878, her married name became Carter.¹

     Elizabeth Brooke was the daughter of Francis Brooke and Hannah Prittie.² She married William Henry Carter, son of Thomas Carter and Catherine Butler, on 23 June 1809.¹ She died on 21 March 1820.¹
     From 23 June 1809, her married name became Carter.

     Thomas Shaen Carter was born on 10 September 1813.¹ He was the son of William Henry Carter and Elizabeth Brooke.² He married Maria Susan Tilson, daughter of Colonel John Henry Tilson and Sophia Augusta Langford, on 21 July 1842.¹ He died on 24 October 1875 at age 62.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.¹ He lived in 1874 at Watlington Park, Oxfordshire, England^G, through his wife.¹

     Susanna Carter was the daughter of William Henry Carter and Elizabeth Brooke.² She married Hon. Francis Sadleir Prittie, son of Hon. Francis Aldborough Prittie and Elizabeth Ponsonby, on 26 October 1846.¹ She died on 13 June 1856.¹
     From 26 October 1846, her married name became Prittie.

     Hon. Francis Sadleir Prittie was born on 25 October 1811.² He was the son of Hon. Francis Aldborough Prittie and Elizabeth Ponsonby.^3,4 He married, firstly, Mary Rose, daughter of Hon. P. Rose, on 1 October 1838.² He married, secondly, Susanna Carter, daughter of William Henry Carter and Elizabeth Brooke, on 26 October 1846.¹ He married, thirdly, Janet Bell, daughter of Edward Gonne Bell, on 3 February 1859.² He died on 26 July 1867 at age 55.²
     He was Army Officer.² On 13 July 1855 he was granted the rank of baron's younger son.² He lived at Glenview, Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Maria Susan Tilson was the daughter of Colonel John Henry Tilson and Sophia Augusta Langford.^1,2 She married Thomas Shaen Carter, son of William Henry Carter and Elizabeth Brooke, on 21 July 1842.¹ She died on 23 August 1868.¹
     From 21 July 1842, her married name became Carter.

     Henry Tilson Shaen Carter was born on 21 June 1846.² He was the son of Thomas Shaen Carter and Maria Susan Tilson.² He married Adelaide Elizabeth Bingham, daughter of Denis Bingham and Elizabeth Elinor Nash, on 9 July 1867.² He died on 9 March 1882 at age 35, without issue.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the 17th Lancers.² He lived at Watlington Park, Oxfordshire, England^G.²
