     Constance Rosemary Townsend was born on 23 July 1916.¹ She is the daughter of Admiral Cyril Samuel Townsend and Mary Elizabeth Moseley.² She married William A. Freeman on 12 January 1946.¹

     Constance Emma Townsend was born on 5 May 1866.¹ She was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Samuel Philip Townsend and Emma Maria Bridges.² She married Arthur J. Matthews on 22 April 1897.¹ She died on 20 April 1948 at age 81.¹
     From 22 April 1897, her married name became Matthews.¹
