Lt.-Col. Edward Thomas FitzGerald was born on 22 December 1784.2 He was the son of Charles Lionel Fitzgerald and Dorothea Butler.2 He married Emma Green, daughter of Edmond Green, on 20 November 1811.2 He died on 19 September 1845 at age 60.2
He fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, as Assistant Quartermaster-General with the Guards.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Army.2 He lived in 1844 at Furzeyhurst, Cowes, Isle of Wight, EnglandG.1
