     Hon. Thomas Barratt Davies was born on 4 June 1916.¹ He was the son of John Percival Davies, 1st Baron Darwen and Mary Kathleen Brown.² He married Doreen Allen, daughter of Arthur James Allen, on 8 March 1941.¹ He died in 1994.¹
     He was educated at Sidcot School, Winscombe, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was educated at Bootham School, York, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Liverpool School of Art, Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.¹ He was a lecturer in art education between 1948 and 1965 at Reading University, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.¹
